SFTP Specification
SFTP stands for Secure File Transfer Protocol. It is a network protocol that is used to securely transfer and manage files over a network, usually the Internet. SFTP was developed to provide a secure and encrypted channel for file exchange between a client and a server. It is commonly used for tasks such as uploading, downloading and managing files on remote servers, as well as for automating file transfers.
