What it looks like in practice
Three projects, each with a different starting point: an ERP that must not be touched, a group invoicing across several countries, and an authority whose suppliers have no e-invoicing software at all.
Case 01
SAP S/4HANA: four entities, one integration
Challenge
An industrial group needed e-invoicing across four legal entities, with complex billing data and no changes to its SAP code.
Solution
Invoice-Portal was connected over SFTP: SAP IDoc files are converted to XRechnung, ZUGFeRD and Peppol BIS, validated and delivered. Confirmations come back automatically.
Result
All four entities went live without a single change to the SAP code. The teams kept their existing workflows and avoided an estimated €60,000 in custom development.
Case 02
Business Central: e-invoicing at scale
Challenge
An international distributor needed to automate 325,000+ invoices a year across several European entities, while meeting local requirements in DACH, Slovakia and Poland.
Solution
One REST API connects Business Central to validation, format conversion and delivery — by e-mail, over Peppol and into the Polish KSeF system.
Result
Every e-invoicing requirement is handled in one platform, and invoices go out across countries without a separate setup per market.
Case 03
Public sector: one portal for every supplier
Challenge
A public authority had to receive e-invoices from hundreds of suppliers — many of them small businesses without any e-invoicing software — and every invoice had to carry a valid Leitweg-ID.
Solution
A white-label portal: suppliers submit over Peppol, by e-mail or through a web form. The Leitweg-ID and the EN 16931 rules are checked on arrival.
Result
Suppliers of every size can invoice without buying software, documents arrive pre-validated, and the finance team no longer chases missing references.
