Mandatory e-invoicing in force from 1 January 2022
The new RLP E-Invoicing Ordinance (ERechVORP) has been in force since 11 January 2024.
Summary

Starting April 1, 2025, e-invoicing will be mandatory for all invoices issued to public authorities in Rhineland-Palatinate, regardless of the contract value.

E-invoices must comply with the XRechnung standard.

The Leitweg-ID is mandatory and must be entered in field BT-10 of the XRechnung.

Delivery is handled via a central platform, with internal routing based on the Leitweg-ID.

The PEPPOL network is supported for submission.

Separate PEPPOL IDs for each authority are not required.
