BMW Group update on requirements for electronic document exchange

Current information on the new requirements for the electronic transmission of invoices and commercial documents has been published on the official BMW Group Portal.

According to the updated requirements, the following important points must be observed:

• Recommended file formats:
  PDF/A-3 with embedded XML data, ZUGFeRD, Factur-X
• Transmission channels:
  PEPPOL or specialized EDI solutions that comply with BMW Group standards
• Data structure and validation:
  The documents to be transmitted must comply with the schemas and specifications specified by the BMW Group.
